Intercity Hotel Salalah
Intercity Hotel Salalah is one of the highly recommended hotels to stay in Salalah. The hotel is ideal for those who want to stay in the heart of the city and experience good value for money. This 9-stories hotel has Restaurant and Cafe, a fitness center, a Steam Room and a small but nice roof top Swimming Pool. Intercity Hotel offers free WiFi and free car parking.
Stay In the Heart of the City
Intercity Hotel is located in the heart of the city and is nearby to business and tourist landmarks. The largest masjid in Salalah, Sultan Qaboos Masjid, is at the walking distance from the hotel. This masjid is a must to visit when in Salalah. Within 5 minutes drive, the largest mall of Salalah, Salalah Gardens Mall is accessible. Lulu hypermarket is also nearby. K.M Trading (hypermarket) is just outside the hotel.
Check In Process
There is a 24 hours front desk at the hotel. Our Check-in process was prompt. Friendly Front Desk staff welcomed us. We were provided with the key card for Room entry.
The reception is located on the left side of the lobby. While on the right side, Taqa Cafe is located.
Suite of Intercity Hotel
We stayed in room number 702, which is a Suite and located on the 7th Floor. Our Suite had 2 rooms and 2 toilets.
The Bed Room
The first room was well decorated, clean and spacious bed room. King size bed had a very comfortable mattress covered in clean white Bedspread, where 4 pillows were elegantly placed on the top.
The room have 2 comfortable sofas for seating along with a table.
The bedroom had TV, electric kettle, hair dryer wardrobe, Iron stand, Iron and Safety Locker.
The mini bar in this hotel contains no alcoholic drinks, as this hotel is non-alcoholic. This is a plus point for Muslim travelers.
A desk is also available in the bed room.
Living Area
In the suite, one connecting living room is also present along with the bedroom. The living room also had a toilet. The Living Room has 4 seating sofa set, a table and a TV.
The table had a beautiful vase on the table and some magazines.
A coat hanger stands are also available in both the bedroom and living room.
View from the Suite
Our suite windows had a mountain view. The runway of Salalah International Airport and other residential buildings were also visible.
The Bathrooms
The bathrooms are stylish and well decorated. The size of the bathrooms were extraordinary. Each toilet is with WC, a Bidet and a shower.
Nice toiletries (shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel and Body Lotion) were provided in the toilet, which were made in Germany.
Bathrobes and Slippers with Intercity logo were provided.
Good Buffet Breakfast
Good buffet breakfast is served at Al Luban Restaurant, located on the first floor. This was complimentary for us. Staff at the restaurant took really good care of us and all other guests.
Partitions are available at the restaurant for providing a place for ladies and families to sit and eat freely.
Highest Roof Top Pool in Salalah
The year round outdoor swimming pool, although small, is located at the roof top. This pool is the highest roof top pool in Salalah. The depth of the pool is 4 feet.
Around the pool, nice seating arrangement is provided to sit and relax. The evening time is pretty awesome.
The pool has separate entrance and changing room for men and women but the pool is common.
Fitness Center and Steam Room
Separate Steam rooms are available for men and women in addition to a common fitness center.
Transport to the Beach
As this hotel is located in City Center, it doesn’t have a private beach. But this is overcame by the hotel by providing free shuttle service to the private beach of Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah.
The shuttle is free from Intercity Hotel to Crowne Plaza Resort, but the guests have to pay for the day pass at Crowne Plaza Resort.
