The story of Beautiful Salalah began with a serendipitous journey. AS Hussain visited Salalah, Oman, for the first time in 2013 and immediately fell in love with its diverse landscapes, rich culture, and the warm hospitality of the locals. Eager to explore more, Hussain found himself relying on advice from locals, as there was little information available online in English about this hidden gem of a city.
He made a promise to himself to spread the beauty of Oman and particularly about Salalah to the rest of the English speaking audience.
Hussain decided to share his experiences about Salalah and insights with the English-speaking world through blogging. In 2016, he launched www.BeautifulSalalah.com, a family-blog he worked on with his wife. Inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the place, he named it Beautiful Salalah. Today, this term, is widely used by thousands of visitors each year in their social media posts, YouTube videos, and blogs.
The captivating photos and vivid descriptions of Salalah in the blog quickly drew attention, attracting over a million readers from across the globe since the inception. As more visitors were enchanted by the stories of Salalah, they began asking for personalized tours to experience the magic themselves.
In 2018, in response to this growing demand, Hussain teamed up with his Omani friend Ahmed, a Salalah native passionate about showcasing his homeland to the world. Together, with a shared love for Salalah and a commitment to authentic, personalized travel experiences, they transformed the blog into a thriving tourism company: Beautiful Salalah Tours.
