About Ayn Razat

Ayn Razat remains a major source of freshwater for farms. It uses the traditional falaj irrigation system and continues to play an important role in the region.

Tourist Attraction in Khareef Season

During Khareef, Ayn Razat attracts many tourists from the Middle East. The monsoon weather is ideal for picnics and exploring the green landscapes. This season lasts from late June to mid-September.

Visitors can find stalls selling toys, kites, fruit, umbrellas, snacks, and ice cream. As the season progresses, water levels rise and the surrounding mountains turn green.

Wadi Razat and As San Valley

The spring flows through Razat Valley, which looks stunning during Khareef. A scenic road leads to As San Valley, offering amazing views of Salalah city. On the way, visit Matam Arzat for another spectacular viewpoint.

The Pond with Lilies

Water streams collect in a small concrete pond at the foothills. The pond has clear water with small fish and beautiful lilies. A tiny bridge crosses the pond, making the nearby cave easily accessible.

Ayn Razat Cave

The cave is reachable via a stone staircase, with railings on both sides for safety. Previously, visitors had to climb slippery mud paths. Inside the cave, a stone curved bench offers a place to rest. The cave takes 2-3 minutes to reach and provides stunning views of the pond, water channels, and garden below.

Ayn Razat Garden

The small ornamental garden is fenced and has one entrance. Admission is free. At the entrance, Oman’s national emblem, featuring a khanjar and crossed swords, is shaped using plants. The garden is open year-round, with slightly different hours depending on the season.

Monsoon season hours: 2 PM to 6 PM daily. Other seasons: weekends only (Friday-Saturday) from 9 AM to 6 PM. The garden has red and pink roses, tall trees, and a peaceful picnic area with mats and chairs.
